Some of you who know me may remember the incident with the photograph.

For those who don't, long story short, I received a photograph folded up in my mailbox even though the envelope clearly stated "PHOTOGRAPH ENCLOSED, PLEASE DO NOT FOLD"

Well, after I contacted the USPS office and was told they weren't liable, I just sort of shrugged it off. I mean, it wasn't DESTROYED, but it was bent.

Anyway, that was about 3-4 weeks ago.

Fast forward to last Saturday.

Some of you may also remember that I once had a salamander named Kitty. He passed in 06 from a fungal infection. He was a tiger salamander, and since his passing I have been searching for a salamander vendor so to speak to try and find another sallie to purchase.

About 2 weeks ago I met someone who was selling a pair of sallies. I definitely wanted them! He showed me pictures of the adorable little buggers and I had to have them.

So, he sold them to me for 20 usd, not including s+h and insurance.

We decided to overnight them so they could arrive in the best condition possible, and I had no qualms paying the extra money to overnight them. They are animals and would YOU want to be in a plastic box for "3-7" business days?

Of course not!

So Saturday morning (11th) he shipped them via overnight usps.

Little did we know, that Columbus Day is such an important holiday that they put live animals on hold until the day AFTER Columbus Day.

So the overnighting part doesn't come into affect until the day after this important holiday.

Unfortunately, overnighting means they MIGHT ship them.. overnight. If you're lucky.

So these poor babies have been waiting just as long as they would have been had I not paid overnight.

fast forward to today.

So it is now Wednesday.

I wait by the window like a child waiting for Santa all day for the mail man. He comes.. an hour ago, and I race to the mailbox and beg him to please tell me if he has my sallies.

Nope.

I explain the situation, and he looks legitimately shocked. "You overnighted a pair of LIVE animals, on SATURDAY, and they are not here yet?"

So he has me fill out a form and says he will do what he can to see if they can be delivered later today or tomorrow.

So I tell the person I ordered them from about this and he tells me to try and call my post office. I actually have several times today (and yesterday) and have never received an answer.

Well, HE called them, and the lady that answered? HUNG UP on him!!

So here we are now. I have class ALL day tomorrow, I won't be here to get them. Same with Friday. My poor sallies are SOMEwhere in Atlanta, and I can't get anyone on the phone to ask where.

How do I know what post office to go to? How do I know they are even still alive?

I am so worried about them. I believe I shall cry soon.

Could I sue?
